Chicago ranks among the great beer cities in the world: a reflection of down-home Midwestern culture, sure, but also the sheer caliber of the craft brewers at work here.
There are far too many grade-A breweries to list here, but we’ll throw a few out there to get you started, including the nearby Crushed by Giants Brewing Co. (600 N. Michigan Ave) just a hop, skip, and a jump from our hotel in Streeterville.
You’ll find the biggest independent craft brewery in Illinois over at Revolution Brewing (3340 N. Kedzie Ave), while the longest-running Windy City craft beer-maker, Goose Island, has two watering holes close to Hotel Chicago: the Goose Island Brewhouse at 1800 N. Clybourn Ave and the Goose Island Taproom at 1800 W Fulton Street.
Or steer your way up to “Malt Row” and sample the marvels at Begyle Brewing (1800 W. Cutler Ave).
It’s not only suds you can enjoy during your Hotel Chicago stay. Celebrate those busy bees with refreshments at Second City Meadery (4465 N Elston Ave) or Right Bee Cider (1830 N. Kostner), Chicago’s very first cidery.
